Based on feedback from scores of anglers, Duo has fine-tuned this model for superb performance under very specific conditions. The excellent specific performance of the Tide-Minnow Advance Line comes at a slight cost to certain other performance characteristics.

The Flyer 140 is a sinking model created based on the Tide-Minnow Slim 140 with special attention paid to its casting capabilities. By adapting the action response from the sophisticated original model, we have created a top of the line lure. Not only does the overwhelming castability give the angler an advantage in strong winds and the ability to explore hard to reach areas, but it is also a great entry model for beginners who are learning to cast.

Tune 1: The movable weight has been changed from a low-density steel ball to a high-density tungsten ball. With this increased weight in a sinking configuration, the lure now achieves roughly a 20% improvement in casting distance compared to the original model—especially noticeable under headwind conditions where the cast feel is markedly enhanced.

Tune 2: In line with the increased body weight, the lip has been redesigned as a wide, dedicated lip. This modification overcomes the inevitable decline in swimming action that would occur with the reused original body design.

Tune 3: The action has shifted from the crisp rolling motion characteristic of the original model to one that incorporates a slightly increased wobbling effect. In addition, the effect of the wide lip renders the lure more responsive to changes in water currents, making it possible to produce irregular actions.
