The widely open mouth draws in water which makes the original propeller in the belly to turn and produces a subtle metallic sound to appeal to the fish. 

Tail hook has a curly elastomer tail that is detachable from the treble hook. Which adds a natural movement to the lure and creates an ideal amount of resistance during the retrieve.
