The concept of this worm is to create a bait that desperately runs away from predators and tries to escape to cover rocks and trees.  This one-sided slit triggers the action of the basic concept of the Bassworm: "A child who struggles desperately to hide". A heavy low center of gravity sinker is fixed to the bottom as a fulcrum, and by shaking at one point, it creates a bait that is desperately sticking its head into an obstacle and struggling.
